About the role

Overview

Chief Blockchain Architect (Layer 1)

Bitcoin solved trust in transactions. Luxium introduces trust in price — the world’s first non-human price creation model.

Luxium AG is a Swiss-based company developing a next-generation Layer 1 blockchain ecosystem where protocol-level architecture, transparent monetary logic, and long-term infrastructure come together to redefine how value is created and preserved.

The system introduces structured pricing tiers based on Fibonacci logic, designed to provide clarity and predictability independent of human decision-making. Combined with a first-of-its-kind mobile consensus protocol enabling scalable distributed validation through everyday devices, Luxium aims to build infrastructure designed to remain relevant for decades, not trends that fade in years.

We are currently seeking an experienced Blockchain Architect to define the technical foundation of the entire ecosystem.

Role Overview

This is a senior architecture role focused on designing a new Layer 1 system from first principles.

The initial phase is a paid architecture engagement where you will work directly with the founders and core team to define the system’s technical direction, evaluate design choices, and structure the blockchain roadmap.

The objective is not incremental improvement of existing models, but careful design of a coherent protocol architecture balancing security, scalability, decentralization, and long-term sustainability.

For the right candidate, this engagement can evolve into a long-term leadership role with equity and token participation.

Initial Scope

During the first phase, you will help define:

• overall Layer 1 architecture
 • consensus and validation design
 • node structure and network topology
 • transaction flow and fee logic
 • system-level economic logic integration
 • mobile-based consensus approach
 • scalability, security and decentralization trade-offs
 • architecture roadmap and implementation stages
 • technical requirements for future team structure

Responsibilities

• design the core architecture of a new blockchain protocol
 • evaluate consensus models and validation structures
 • define system-level logic and network design principles
 • translate conceptual goals into implementable architecture
 • prepare clear architecture documentation
 • identify technical risks and key trade-offs early
 • collaborate closely with founders and developers
 • help define technical hiring roadmap where needed

Requirements

• strong experience in blockchain architecture or distributed systems design
 • deep understanding of Layer 1 protocol design principles
 • strong knowledge of consensus mechanisms and network security
 • strong background in system architecture and distributed computing
 • understanding of cryptographic fundamentals used in blockchain systems
 • ability to structure complex systems from first principles
 • ability to produce clear technical documentation
 • strong analytical thinking and independent judgment

Strong Plus

• previous work on Layer 1 protocols
 • protocol engineering experience
 • experience with Rust, Go, C++, or similar system-level languages
 • experience designing secure distributed systems
 • open-source blockchain contributions
 • experience working with early-stage technical architecture
 • ability to evaluate unconventional approaches critically

Engagement Structure

The collaboration begins with an initial architecture phase focused on defining the system’s foundations before full-scale implementation.

We are open to:

• short-term architecture engagement
 • part-time senior involvement
 • project-based collaboration
 • transition into long-term leadership role

For the right candidate, this role can evolve into a core technical leadership position within Luxium AG.

Compensation

Compensation depends on experience and level of involvement.

Initial phase:

• contract-based compensation aligned with seniority and scope

Long-term structure may include:

• competitive salary
 • performance-based upside
 • equity participation
 • Luxium token allocation

Why Join

• opportunity to design a Layer 1 architecture from the ground up
 • influence fundamental protocol design decisions
 • work directly with founders on core system logic
 • long-term technical leadership potential
 • Swiss-based structure with global scope
 • focus on protocol-level innovation rather than short-term trends

To Apply

Please send:

• CV or LinkedIn profile - info@luxium.global
 • short summary of relevant architecture experience
 • GitHub, publications or technical references (if available)
 • brief note describing your experience with protocol design or distributed systems

Candidate requirements

These are the minimum requirements a candidate must meet to be considered for this role.

  • Strong experience in blockchain architecture or distributed systems design
  • Deep understanding of Layer 1 protocol design principles
